This homepage is maintained by the Akron Metropolitan Area Transportation Study (AMATS), as part of a regional carpooling initiative serving commuters in 13 Northeast Ohio counties. Finding a carpool partner is now as easy as Point, Click, Ride!

Now that you have set up your free online account with OhioRideshare, you have complete control over the personal information that can be shared with other participants. You can use our site to contact potential carpool partners by e-mail and discuss your schedules, driving preferences, and commuting needs.

In addition to taking advantage of all of our great ride-matching features, you can also use the web site's interactive features to track your mileage and map your route to work.

To see your rideshare matches, go to "My Page" and click on "Show My Matches."

The Akron Metropolitan Area Transportation Study (AMATS) is proud to provide the services of OhioRideshare in the Akron-Canton area.

As the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Greater Akron area, AMATS is responsible for regional transportation planning in Summit County, Portage County, and the Chippewa Township area of Wayne County. Our agency prepares a comprehensive Regional Transportation Plan and provides millions of dollars in federal transportation funding for a wide variety of highway projects, public transportation services, and bicycle trails.
